So, uh, why should you trust me to be your Mahjong mentor?

It's a very good question and one I'm glad you asked (or at least thought).

I have a proven track record and a huge passion for helping women learn Mahjong quickly, confidently, and without the overwhelm. Before the world shut down in 2020, I sat down at a Mahjong table for the first time. I had no idea I was about to tumble headfirst into an obsession that would eventually shape my career, my friendships, and - if I’m being honest - (happily) most of my free time.

At first, Mahjong was a fun puzzle to solve. Then, the world hit pause, and I kept playing. Why? Because I craved connection. The game became more than just strategy and tiles; it became a lifeline, a way to stay close to people even when we were far apart.

Fast forward, and I started noticing something: learning Mahjong could be… overwhelming. Between the racks, the walls, the Charleston (which sounds like a dance move but isn’t), and the endless stream of rules, new players often felt lost before they even picked up a tile.

I wanted to change that. So I started teaching- not with stiff rulebooks or overwhelming jargon, but with clarity, humor, and a focus on making Mahjong approachable and joyful.

And now? I’ve helped hundreds of women gain confidence at the table through in-person and virtual lessons - and was recently honored to be nominated as a 2025 Favorite Instructor by the American Mah Jongg Association. What a thrill!

In a past life before building my own business around Mahjong, I spent years leading teams for some very successful companies (and kicking some serious goals). But once I found Mahjong, everything clicked (literally and figuratively). It became my passion, my purpose, and the heartbeat of the community I now have the joy of nurturing.

Every day, I get to help women:

  • Learn something new
  • Step into social circles with confidence
  • Find a little joy, strategy, and sisterhood - all at the same table

Because I believe every woman deserves a hobby that lights her up, connects her to others, and makes her feel like she belongs. And that’s exactly what Mahjong can do.

So whether you're brand new or brushing up, ready to win your first tournament or just want to laugh over lattes and tiles - I’m here for it. And for you.

Let’s Mahj together!
