Virtual One-on-One Lesson

Get ready to dive into your newest obsession! My virtual lesson is the perfect starting point for beginners looking to learn American Mahjong in the comfort of your home. We'll meet over Zoom and you'll have to have your own Mahjong set for this instruction. 

Investment: 

• Step 1: Beginner Lesson and Step 2: Refresh Lesson fees are $147 and cover your 2-hour lesson & teaching materials.
• Step 3: Guided Play session is 1 hour, and the fee is $127. Topics for this session could be specific to your desired outcome - Charleston strategy, hand pivoting, card deep dive, etc.

Your Own Mahjong Set: You must have an American Mahjong set with racks to participate in the lesson. Be sure to purchase a set for American Mahjong (152 tiles including 8 jokers) and not a Chinese Mahjong set (144 tiles, no jokers).

• You can buy a very reasonably priced starter set at Amazon.
• Or, if you know you'll want to stay with Mahjong beyond our lesson, you may want to get a set that's a step up (actually, several steps up). Here are my recommendations.  
• Please be sure you get not only a tile set but also a set of 4 racks with pushers. This is what we use in American Mahjong (NMJL rules) play, and you need to have both the tiles and the racks available for your lesson to get the most out of our time together. Some sets from Amazon may include the racks, whereas sets from smaller, independent sellers may not. If you're in doubt, please contact me before committing to a purchase.

Your Own National Mah Jongg League Current Year Card: You must have the current year NMJL card for this lesson. You can order one directly from me or from the National Mah Jongg League.
